राम मंदिर अयोध्या की पूर्ण कहानी - History of Ram Mandir Ayodhya

Ayodhya is an ancient city located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It holds immense religious and cultural significance in Hinduism and is associated with the legendary figure Lord Rama, who is considered the seventh avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. The history of Ayodhya is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and scriptures.

Here is a brief historical overview of Ayodhya:

    Ancient History:

Ayodhya is mentioned in the ancient Hindu texts, including the Ramayana, one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India. According to the Ramayana, Ayodhya was the capital of the Kosala Kingdom and the birthplace of Lord Rama.

    Buddhist Period:
During the Buddhist era, Ayodhya continued to be an important city. Some Buddhist texts refer to Ayodhya as Saket, and it was a significant center for Buddhism.

    Medieval Period:
Ayodhya witnessed various rulers and dynasties over the centuries, including the Mauryas and the Guptas. During the medieval period, it came under the rule of the Delhi Sultanate and later the Mughal Empire.

    Mughal Era:
The Mughal emperor Babur is believed to have built a mosque, known as the Babri Masjid, in Ayodhya in the 16th century. The mosque was constructed on a site traditionally believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama.

Controversy and the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi Dispute:
In the 20th century, the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute emerged as a major point of contention. Hindu activists claimed that the mosque was built after demolishing a pre-existing temple marking the birthplace of Lord Rama. This dispute led to communal tensions and, eventually, the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.

    Post-Independence Period:
After India gained independence in 1947, the Ayodhya dispute became a prominent issue. Legal battles ensued, and the case went through various courts. The Supreme Court of India, in a landmark judgment in November 2019, ruled in favor of the construction of a Hindu temple at the disputed site.

    Post-Judgment Developments:
Following the Supreme Court's verdict, the construction of the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya began. The temple is being built according to the architectural plans prepared by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Today, Ayodhya continues to be a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus, drawing devotees from across the country and around the world. The construction of the Ram Temple is seen as a historic and culturally significant event in India.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, also known as the Ram Mandir, was underway. Please note that there may have been further developments since then. Here is the information available up to my last update:

    Land Dispute Resolution:
The construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya became possible after the Supreme Court of India's verdict in November 2019. The court ruled in favor of the construction of a Hindu temple at the disputed site where the Babri Masjid once stood.

Formation of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust:
Following the Supreme Court's decision, the Indian government formed the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to oversee the construction of the Ram Temple. The trust was entrusted with the responsibility of managing the temple complex.

    Bhoomi Pujan (Groundbreaking Ceremony):
The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ram Temple took place on August 5, 2020. This event, known as the Bhoomi Pujan, was attended by various dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    Architectural Plans:
The temple's architectural plans were prepared by renowned architect Chandrakant Sompura. The design is inspired by traditional Hindu temple architecture and is meant to be a grand structure symbolizing the reverence for Lord Rama.

    Construction Progress:
The construction of the Ram Temple began after the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony. The process involved clearing the site, laying the foundation, and commencing the actual construction work.

    Expected Completion:
The construction of such a significant temple is a complex process, and the timeline for completion was initially estimated to be a few years. The temple is expected to become a major pilgrimage site once completed.

It's advisable to check the latest news sources for updates on the construction progress and any further developments related to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Keep in mind that events and timelines may have evolved since my last update in January 2022.
